Hey guys !
I. The Experience
The day after, I was feeling a lot weaker, and I couldn't find the energy to do anything. All I could think about were the words I had heard during nearly four hours of talking and arguing.
I asked myself, "Is anything wrong?" but all I could feel was the persistent urge to prove how correct I was.
In the shower, all I could think about was how this feeling wasn't new. There were many things I did that left me feeling this drained. I began to question if I was channeling my energy in the right direction.
II. The Decision, Research, and Conclusion
This led me to think what I termed "the art of preserving energy." I realized it was crucial in most of the things I pursued. So, I started jotting down activities that either energized or depleted me. Understanding what drains your energy is the first step.
Next, I resolved to carve out more time for activities that energized me. However, I soon realized this wasn't as simple as I thought. Sometimes, you stumble upon activities that drain you unexpectedly, and you need a boost.
So, I decided to delve into research and explore techniques such as taking micro and macro breaks, paying attention to emotions, managing distractions, decluttering workspace, allowing time for recharge, journaling, outdoor walks, setting boundaries, and surrounding myself with positive influences.
III. The Lessons
It's often easier to get caught up in activities that drain our energy due to our environment. However, it's crucial to consistently seek out spaces and activities that replenish our energy.
Recently, I rearranged my workspace, even selling my monitor, to avoid feeling drained in my room. I've found I'm more productive in coffee shops or shared workspaces.
What do you think its draining energy and have you thought about positioning yourself with a good environment where you can have more energy to what your you want ?

Interesting read Macdaniel. I like the idea of writing down things that you think are draining your energy, but at the same time leaving room for unexpected circumstances that might come in between. Also like the style of writing
